As part of a lengthy statement on the club website, Budge explained her satisfaction with the number of season tickets sold.

She said: "Despite the disruption of last season, our fans, as ever, got behind us and came in their numbers to support the team, thereby ensuring our ticketing income exceeded budget.

"With season tickets for next season now officially closed, I am delighted to say that once again we have broken the 13,000 mark.

"A huge thank you once again to our loyal season ticket holders and indeed a warm welcome to all new season ticket holders."
