The only goal of the game in a gloomy night in South Lanarkshire came in the fifth minute from Danny Redmond as he beat Kelby Mason in the Hearts goal after good work from Gramoz Kurtaj.

Hearts came close to
equalising on 33 minutes, but Accies stopper Robbie Thomson pulled off a fine save from Rory Currie’s strike.

Redmond came close to doubling Hamilton’s advantage on the hour mark, but Mason pulled off a fine save to deny him.
