Skacel provides winning touch

Rudi Skacel played a massive part in Raith Rovers’ 1-0 defeat of Queen of the South after rising from the bench to provide the match-winning assist.

The Hearts legend came on a late substitute with Raith clinging to a 0-0 draw. After darting up the right wing, he cut back on to his left foot and curled an inswinging cross into the penalty area. On hand to meet it was Mark Stewart. The striker stretched, got a touch to the ball, and diverted it into the back of the net.

The striker is starting to find some form after a poor start to his career in China. He’s netted three goals in his past seven games.

Oliver nets winner

Gary Oliver scored a late winner as Morton defeated Ayr United 2-1 in the Ladbrokes Championship.

After such a strong showing against Aberdeen at Hampden last weekend, Morton came back to earth with a bang when Kevin Nesbitt gave Ayr a first half lead at Cappielow.
