Hearts have clinched league phase football in the Conference League with an epic penalty shootout success over Rapid Vienna.
The Jambos drew 4-4 on aggregate against Austrian Bundesliga opposition after a dogged 2-2 draw at Allianz Stadion. They played a portion of the second half and all of extra-time with 10 men and the tired stars pulled out a heroic performance to seal millions in prize money for the Premiership side.
Spot kick success was sealed and they now look forward to Friday’s draw where some glamour ties are in store between now and Christmas. The night in Vienna is one Hearts fans will savour for many a year and here are some of the best photos from an extraordinary game.
