Fans had plenty to say prior to the match with Robbie Neilson naming a surprising starting XI with Elliott Frear, Euan Henderson and Jordan Roberts leading the line, while Gary Mackay-Steven, Josh Ginnelly, Liam Boyce and Steven Naismith were all named amongst the substitutions.

@maroonspecs: “Three goals in little over two hours of league football makes you wonder what a fully-fit Ginnelly could do with a run of games under his belt.”

@RFBorthwick: “Not a surprise to see Hearts improve when they brought on footballers who are good at football. Onwards!”

@FredSked: “That'll do nicely. Happy Saturday.”

@callumrfd: “Not our strongest team out and still 3 more points and 7 clear on to the next one.”

@perthtopaisley: “Job done, move on.”

@donmcgrats: “I'll take that. Dominated throughout. Irving outstanding as usual. Gino looked sharp when he came on. If we can cut out the sloppy defending we'll win this league at a canter.”

@ianwight15: “We were pretty woeful apart from our goals & don’t seem to have learned anything from the Dundee game. We still look weak at cross balls & pretty much try to sit games out rather than cuff teams. Still 3-1 away is good!”
