Hearts gave themselves a real confidence boost ahead of next week’s Scottish Cup final with Celtic by battering six goals past Queen of the South in a triumphant win at Tynecastle.

Robbie Neilson’s side increased their lead at the top of the Scottish Championship thanks to a double from Liam Boyce, three excellent long-range finishes from Steven Naismith, Jamie Walker and Josh Ginnelly, as well as a maiden goal for Elliott Frear.
