Craig Levein and Austin MacPhee have agreed to take a 50 per cent wage cut at Hearts, according to the Daily Record.
The Tynecastle club have proposed the deal to every member of staff and the playing squad in a hope to stave off financial ruin while the season is suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Ann Budge doesn't believe there will be football again until at least August and has offered all employees the chance to take the cut or risk being made redundant without pay.
The former management duo have reportedly taken her up on that offer.
Levein was the former Hearts boss and had MacPhee as his assistant, before the latter stepped into the manager's job on an interim basis prior to the arrival of Daniel Stendel.
Despite both being relieved of their duties the pair have stayed on at the club. They share the duties of a sporting director while Hearts look for a permanent hire at the position.
