The 18-year-old, who has penned a new Hearts deal, was signed on an emergency loan by the Binos and started against the League Two title favourites.

Stone demonstrated his ability as he kept a clean sheet.

In the fifth minute he showed his presence claiming a cross. After the break he was forced into a save down to his left before an even better stop later, diving down to his right and getting good distance to push the effort away from danger.

Rutkiewicz singled Stone out for "special mention”.

"I’m delighted for him, he’s a credit to his players and a credit to his club.

“He’s got a bright future if he maintains those kinds of standards.”
