Dundee United v Hearts LIVE: Team news, updates and analysis from Tannadice

There is one change from last weekend’s team that drew with Aberdeen as Ben Woodburn comes into make his full debut for the club after signing from Liverpool on loan earlier this week. Josh Ginnelly drops to the bench.

This week’s other confirmed signing, Taylor Moore, has a place on the bench alongside Armand Gnanduillet, who has returned to the squad after taking a couple of games off due to family issues.

Lining up in a 3-4-3: Gordon; Souttar, Halkett, Cochrane; Smith, Haring, Baningime, Halliday; Woodburn, Boyce, Mackay-Steven.

Subs: Stewart, Walker, McEneff, Moore, Gnanduillet, Ginnelly, Pollock.

Incredibly, this is Hearts’ first game at Tannadice since February 2016. Both John Souttar and Jamie Walker were in the side defeated by the hosts 2-1 thanks to a thunderous late finish from Paul Paton. Walker notched the away side’s equaliser on the day.

Hearts have only won once in their last 11 trips to the stadium. That came in 2015 when Juanma netted the only goal of the game for Robbie Neilson’s newly promoted side. Hopefully that’s a good omen.

Hello and welcome to the Evening News’ live coverage of Dundee United v Hearts in the cinch Premiership. Robbie Neilson’s side are looking to build on an unbeaten start to their top-flight return after losing their 100 per cent record with a 1-1 draw against Aberdeen at Tynecastle last week. Today’s hosts come in with some good form of their own, having beaten Rangers and St Johnstone in their last two games, as well as a Premier Sports Cup last 16 victory over Ayr United. The team news is coming up shortly.
