Elijah Adebyao: Walsall have no intention to part with Hearts target - local press report

According to the Express & Star’s Walsall reporter, the club have no intention to allow the striker to leave before the transfer window closes and have turned down an approach from the Tynecastle club.

The Saddlers sit 12th in English League Two but just nine points off the top of the table and four from the play-off positions.

Manager’s Darrell Clarke’s aim is for promotion with Adebayo a key figure in their promotion push.

The 23-year-old is the club’s top scorer with eight in the league.

The Evening News revealed yesterday moves had been made to try and bring the forward to Gorgie.

Standing at 6ft4in, Adebayo fits manager Robbie Neilson’s criteria for a target man to complement Liam Boyce and Craig Wighton in attack.

The former Fulham youngster is strong in the air with a handy knack of being in the right place at the right time in the box.
