Hearts have some contract situations to take into account this coming off-season.

They are chasing down the Premiership’s third spot - but how many stars do Hearts need to speak with if they want them about for the European charge?

Head coach Steven Naismith has been quick off the mark getting stars signed up for next campaign. Livingston’s James Penrice, Ross County’s Yan Dhanda and Motherwell’s Blair Spittal have all penned pre-contract ahead of season 24/25.

With third in this season’s campaign all but secured, Hearts stars can look forward to continental action once its booked. Beni Baningime though won’t discuss his future with the club until May, with a focus on action between now and then.

Knee surgery meanwhile leaves midfield partner Peter Haring staring into the unknown. Craig Gordon, Craig Halkett and Alan Forrest have all recently signed new contracts while Kenneth Vargas has penned a long-term deal in the last month.
