Ex-Hearts and Hibs midfielder Michael Stewart believes there is “not a great deal” between the two side.

The pundit gave his view on the BBC ahead of the Scottish Cup semi final between the two sides.

Stewart reckons that the difference is minimal despite the teams being in different leagues.

“I’ve heard a lot of people talking about the fact there is a gulf between the two clubs because one is in the Championship and one is in the Premiership,” he said.

“I’d imagine that within the two clubs they are not that foolish, they recognise there is not a great deal to pick between the sides and they’ll be cautious of the abilities of the other but confident within themselves that they can win it.

“I genuinely believe that both sides have got enough in their armoury to hurt the opposition and I think the task for both sides is to nullify the opponents while allowing their own talents to go and flourish.”
