He has been allocated the No.18 shirt for this season and could make his debut in Wednesday night's Premiership match against Motherwell.

Holt, 27, is a graduate of the Hearts youth academy who made 70 appearances in maroon. He also enjoyed loan spells at Raith Rovers and Sheffield United before signing for Rangers in 2015.

He played more than 100 times for the Glasgow club and was then loaned out to Fleetwood Town and St Johnstone. His contract at Ibrox was not renewed in May and he was released.

Livingston invited Holt to train with them and have now secured his signature for the next two seasons.
