The Jambos go into the match with cup holders Celtic leading the SPFL Championship, having lost just once in 90 minutes this season.
Many of the players have been in fine form which leads to a selection headache of a positive kind for the Hearts boss, and options to choose from.
We asked you the same selection poser that’s facing the management team this weekend – and you answered with a variety of line-ups, formations and tactics.
The selection from the supporters was almost unanimous, save for a couple of positions, and with a few alternative tweaks, tactics and formations we’ve taken the consensus and lined up the Jambos in a 4-4-2 formation.
So Robbie, if you’re reading, here’s the team the fans have picked to see off Celtic in Sunday’s big match.
9. CM - Peter Haring
Austrian was another popular choice and deployed all over the pitch in your selections, but mostly in the midfield. Gets the nod from the supporters over Andy Halliday. What a return from injury it could be for the popular player. Photo: SNS Group Craig Foy
10. CF - Liam Boyce
Semi-final goalscorer Liam Boyce is your choice in attack against Celtic and the forward against Shane Duffy could go a long way to deciding the outcome of the final. Photo: Alan Harvey - SNS Group / SFA
11. FW - Steven Naismith
Some had him partnering Boyce, some in behind the striker and others as the lone frontman - regardless, Naismith's name is a pillar in the fans' picks. Having played on the big occasion many times before, and scored against Celtic too, he's sure to feature on Sunday. Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group
12. Hearts Fans XI
You chose: Gordon, Smith, Berra, Halkett, Kingsley, Haring, Irving, Walker, Ginnelly, Naismith, Boyce. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group
