The English striker congratulated QPR pair Ilias Chair and Bright Osayi-Samuel for taking a knee after the former scored against Millwall on Tuesday. This came after the Millwall support booed the gesture prior to their home match against Derby County at the weekend.

However, the 25-year-old was met with disgusting responses from racist fans. Ikpeazu posted two of them on his Instagram stories. One of them just wrote the highly offensive racial-slur “n****r* while another wrote “u represent nighttime”. The footballer captioned this screenshots with “this is why we kneel!”

Ikpeazu is currently playing for Wycombe Wanderers in the English Championship after moving from Tynecastle this summer.

Though he only netted 10 goals during his two seasons at Hearts, Ikpeazu remained a popular figure with supporters due to his endeavour and all-action style.
