Former Hearts winger Dario Zanatta has signed a pre-contract agreement with Raith Rovers.

The 23-year-old will make the switch to Stark’s Park at the end of the season after deciding to part ways with Championship rivals Ayr United.

Zanatta previously enjoyed a 26-game loan spell in Kirkcaldy in season 2017-18 where he scored six goals either side of a brief recall to his then-parent club Hearts.

A Canadian Under-20 international, he has also played for Queen’s Park, Alloa and Partick Thistle since making the breakthrough at Tynecastle in 2015.

The Rovers management team of John McGlynn and Paul Smith spoke to raithrovers.net about their new recruit, declaring: “We are looking forward to working with Dario and developing him as a player as part of the squad next season.”
