After signing an initial one-year deal, the Bairns have struck a new deal to double his term at the club and ward off suitors in the 21-year-old who has lit up League One so far this season.

Morrison has scored five in seven games since leaving Hearts. The winger had loan spells at East Fife, Brechin and Stirling during his Tynecastle career as well as 30 top flight appearances.

Bairns co-manager Lee Miller said: “Cal is a really exciting player that I’m sure the fans have loved watching so far. He’s scoring goals and creating chances for the rest of the team, and the fact he is still young and developing is a scary prospect!”
