Hearts welcome Inverness CT to Tynecastle Park this afternoon for the club’s final home game of the season.

The league winners will lift the Championship trophy after the match following much speculation as to whether it would be left on the stand, as per the desire of many fans, or be hoisted into the air by captain Steven Naismith. Hearts confirmed it will be the latter.

Robbie Neilson’s men will be looking to bounce back from the midweek draw with Greenock Morton by putting on a positive display against a team still fighting for promotion.

The Highlanders, under the interim charge of Neil McCann, are just behind Dunfermline Athletic who occupy the third and final play-off spot. ICT have been on a fine run of late and possess Hibs star Scott Allan on loan.

We will have updates throughout the day from Tynecastle, including analysis and reaction following the game.

How the Hearts players rated

FT: Hearts 3 - 0 Inverness CT

There isn’t much to add from the first half. The game fizzled out with Hearts in complete control.

Finlay Pollock was handed his debut and he looked eager off the bench, buzzing about, showing nice touches.

The most entertaining aspect of the second half was Robbie Neilson and Neil McCann exchanging words. The latter was still unhappy after the match and had more words for Neilson who walked away.

Job done.

Naismith slides a pass past Carson for GMS to run on to and set up Boyce. The striker slid in but his effort clipped the post.

Gnanduillet OFF, Naismith ON

The Hibs ace expertly spun away from McEneff but his attempted through pass was intercepted by Irving who motored forward and played a delightful defence splitting pass for GMS who couldn’t quite find Boyce.

A Welsh tackle on Boyce prompted a round of verbals between Neilson and McCann. The latter is now sitting in the stand.

Todorov OFF, Lyall ON

ICT’s second change as ex-Hearts man Todorov is replaced after a tough outing. Roddy MacGregor had replaced Allardice at half-time.

ICT start brightly with Todorov getting free down the right but his low shot was never troubling Gordon.
