This is how supporters on both sides of the Edinburgh football divide reacted to the news on social media:

@hfcsupporters: “A huge well done to Kevin Nisbet who has been called up to Steve Clarke’s squad for Euro 2020. An excellent achievement for Kevin in his first season in the top flight and we can’t wait to see him on the big stage this summer.”

@Wallacej1874: “Craig Gordon deserves to start at the euros nobody can tell me different.”

@DMcIver22: “People will call me biased for obvious reasons but Craig Gordon has to be number one for us this summer. Marshall was obviously the hero to get us here but Gordon is just better. We saw that in the World Cup qualifiers.”

@HeathcoteBlair: “Should be starting every game.”
