The 24-year-old Preston North End loanee netted the Jambos’ second goal in the 6-2 triumph over Dundee last Friday night and impressed with a strong performance on the right flank.

Neilson singled out Ginnelly for praise, while also reserving warm words for ex-Inverness winger Jordan Roberts, who was handed a starting berth ahead of Elliott Frear and was a constant menace to Dundee on the left-hand side.

"He's been great since day one,” Neilson said of Ginnelly, “He gives us pace out wide and can deliver crosses, and to get that finish for the goal was great for him.

"I'm really pleased with him, and also with Jordan Roberts as well. He came in for his league debut and I thought his physicality, strength and pace was brilliant.”
