Hearts fixtures 2021-22: Edinburgh derby dates revealed; Celtic first for Tynecastle on TV

Hearts will host the first Edinburgh derby of the season, after learning the 2021-22 cinch Premiership fixtures.

Robbie Neilson’s side return to the top flight and will be live in front of the Sky Sports cameras for their first game of the league campaign – at an unorthodox time of 8pm on a Saturday.

Celtic will be the visitors to Tynecastle for the opener on July 31 – which will also double up as Ange Postecoglou’s first match in the cinch Premiership.

The first away match of the new season will be a week later at St Mirren – the same venue for Hearts’ last away day in the top flight.

However the red letter days for the Premiership return remain the Edinburgh derbies.

Jack Ross brings his side to Gorgie on Saturday September 11, and again on April 9 next year. Hearts’ trip to Easter Road falls on the traditional New Year fixture – scheduled to be played on January 2 next year.
