Robbie Neilson’s men were due to travel to Cappielow on Saturday, April 17.

However, Morton’s involvement in the Scottish Cup has resulted in the game being rescheduled and will now be played at the later date with a 7.05pm kick-off.

Former Hearts player Robbie Muirhead scored an extra-time winner to defeat East Fife at the weekend for the ‘Ton and set up a fourth round tie with Motherwell.

Depending on results, the rearranged fixture could be the day Hearts win the Championship.

The league leaders face Alloa Athletic on Friday night in front of the BBC Scotland cameras. It could have been the game where the team were able to secure a return to the Premiership before points were dropped at Dunfermline.

The last time Hearts visited Morton, they ran out 2-0 winners with a double from Jamie Walker.
