The duo were viewed by the club's fans as the best in the team and in the division.

However, Dundee's Charlie Adam won the award for the SPFL Championship player of the year.

The former Liverpool and Blackpool midfielder helped his boyhood club back into the Premiership via the play-offs where he displayed his ability.

In the first-leg play-off semi-final clash at Raith Rovers he delivered two pinpoint assists for former Hearts player Jordan McGhee.

One of his eight goals this campaign came against Hearts in the 6-2 defeat at Tynecastle on the opening day of the Championship season.
