Hearts pre-season friendly schedule and ticket latest for four clashes after latest match unveiled
Here’s all you need to know as a busy July awaits Hearts.
Hearts are gearing up for the new Premiership season and Champions League qualifiers with a range of friendly matches this month.
Wouter Vrancken’s side are back from a pre-season training camp in Spain where they defeated league rivals St Mirren during a behind closed doors clash. Now there are games on home soil that await them as second round qualifiers against Sturm Graz at Europe’s top table arrive later this month.
There will be a battle at Tynecastle for fans to get ready for while three separate trips across the second also lie in wait for Hearts. Here’s all you need to know ahead of the matches.
Livingston vs Hearts - July 10
Vrancken’s side are next in action this Friday when they make the short trip to Almondvale to face Livingston. The Lions have been relegated to the Championship and are looking to bounce back from a disappointing season. It’s a clash that will serve to honour 33-year-old midfielder Scott Pittman’s 11 years and counting of service to his team based in West Lothian.
It takes place at 7:45pm with tickets a £5 for U16s and £10 for adults and concessions, available via FanBase. A statement reads: “The Lions will welcome Heart of Midlothian to Almondvale on Friday 10th July 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 7.45pm, as we celebrate Scott’s incredible service to the football club. Tickets are on sale now, with both Livingston and Hearts fans able to buy directly from Fanbase for this one. Everyone at the Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Heart of Midlothian for agreeing to take part in the occasion. The fixture will provide valuable preparation for both clubs ahead of the new season, with our Premier Sports Cup campaign and Hearts’ European qualifiers just around the corner.”
Arbroath vs Hearts - July 14
A Hearts XI will make the journey to Gayfield for Colin Hamilton’s testimonial match. It kicks off at 7:30pm and should attract a good crowd in honour of the home club’s co-manager. Fans are advised to buy a general admission ticket with adults £10 and concessions priced at £5. Arbroath state: “Away Fans - Please purchase general admission tickets - seat selection is NOT available for this game, however fans wishing to sit in the CoelBrew stand will be able to sit in the seats on day.”
Hearts vs Rayo Vallecano - July 17
A first taste of Tynecastle will be had here for new head coach Vrancken as Hearts welcome La Liga side Ray Vallecano in their last clash prior to facing Sturm Graz the following week. Adults are £18 with concessions £10 and U13s go for £5. Hearts state: “Heart of Midlothian will welcome La Liga side Rayo Vallecano to Gorgie for a friendly match in July. Honouring our rich heritage whilst embracing an exciting new era, the UEFA Conference League finalists will take on the Jambos to celebrate the 140th anniversary of Tynecastle Park on Friday, 17th July at 7:45pm. With the boys in maroon set to participate in Champions League qualifiers the following week, facing Austrian side Sturm Graz, the visit of Los Franjirrojos will provide a fitting test ahead of the Jam Tarts’ appearance on the biggest European stage.”

Raith Rovers vs Hearts - July 24
A trip to the Championship side from Kirkcaldy will commence a few days after the first leg of the Sturm Graz clash and prior to the return fixture at Tynecastle. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:30pm and will give the new management team another chance to utilise their vast squad. Ticket information will be released ‘in due course’ according to Rovers.
