If Inverness had progressed the Championship fixture would have been rearranged due to next weekend’s Scottish Cup quarter-finals.

Now the celebrations are expected to take place following the match as Hearts return to the Premiership at the first time of asking.

The trophy lift has prompted much consternation amongst some fans with a social media campaign calling on the team to collect their medals but leave the trophy on the stand.

They feel it would be a message to the SPFL and others clubs following the vote which saw Hearts confined to the second tier having been bottom when the league was finished due to the coronavirus pandemic.
