Hesitated coming out for the opening goal. Bizarre moment when he opted to head a bouncing ball in his box rather than catch it. Couple of important saves in the second half, especially one from Hylton.

Defensively excellent, not the greatest of games in an attacking sense. Got into a number of crossing opportunities but too often sent them towards Gillespie in the Motherwell goal.

An error for the opening goal when Chris Long dispossessed him. Steadied afterwards but still guilty of the mistake which put Hearts in a difficult position.

The centre-back came up with a few solid defensive moments but took too long on the ball at times. Tried to score with a free-kick from 40 yards.
