Dunfermline created the better chances in either half in a sun-kissed Kingdom of Fife with Craig Gordon and the bar coming to the league leaders' rescue in the second half.
For Hearts, it was a slog at times with Boyce going closest. There was a welcome return for Steven Naismith, while Peter Haring had a strong showing in the middle of the park.

1. Craig Gordon - 8
Displayed his influence on the team. Smart save to deny O’Hara in the first half before an even better one from Murray late on. Claimed crosses with confidence and organised. Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group
2. Shay Logan - 7
A solid debut for the right-back. Aggressive, vocal and looked to drive the team forward. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group
3. Michael Smith - 6
A typical solid outing from the Northern Irishman across two positions. Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group
4. Craig Halkett - 6
A very loose start to the game where he gave the ball away a couple of times. Pars targeted the channel between him and White. Dominated in the air, however, and was faultless after the break. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group
