Alloa Athletic were thumped 6 – 0 at Tynecastle Park in what was a confident performance from the league leaders.
The win ended a three-game winless run and moved the team closer to finally securing a return to the Premiership. If Dundee and Raith Rovers both fail to win on Saturday the title will be Hearts’.
Liam Boyce was the star of the show with a hat-trick, while Euan Henderson, Aaron McEneff and Jamie Walker were on the scoresheet but there were a number of good performances throughout.

9. Euan Henderson - 8
Has his moments where he isn’t in position or up on the game the way he should be. However, he has ability as shown with his incredible solo run and dribble to win the penalty for the second and run and finish for the third. Photo: Paul Devlin - SNS Group

10. Armand Gnanduillet - 7
The Frenchman should have done better with an early header from a corner. A very useful presence as the main focal point, won headers and developed play with some nice link up and set up Walker for No.6. Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group

11. Liam Boyce - 9
Simply excellent. Playing in a deeper role, he was the team’s creative force, dropping deep, getting the ball, turning and probing. Even better he continued to provide a goal threat, scoring his first hat-trick for the club. Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group
