Robbie Neilson' s men moved into second in the Championship with all goals coming in the first half. Michael Smith opened the scoring early on, Andy Halliday netted from a Liam Boyce assist and Peter Haring scored his first in nearly 600 days.
The second half was a non-event with Boyce’s penalty miss following a retake the only real point of interest.

5. Stephen Kingsley - 7
A typically excellent display from the left-back. Calm on the ball, always looking to progress forward. Sometimes had to take a back seat and support play from deep with Roberts keen to go down the wing. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group

6. Peter Haring - 8
A welcome presence at the base of the midfield. Showed his ball-winning ability, whether it was using his body or nicking the ball away from opponents. His height is valuable as is his passing qualities to fire balls out to the flanks. Scored his first goal in 598 days. Photo: Euan Cherry - SNS Group

7. Andy Halliday - 8
A really positive display from the midfielder. Looked to push forward as much as he could. Set up the first goal and made a lovely run to score the second. He should have scored prior to that and the afterwards a great run wasn't picked out by Walker. Before being subbed he played a lovely through ball for Boyce who was bundled over for a penalty. 8. Jamie Wallker - 6
A nice assist for Haring’s goal but the attacker was on the periphery of the game too much, barely seen after the interval. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group
