Hide AdThe Staggies were bolstered by the news earlier this week that former Hearts man Connor Randall has agreed a two-year extension to his deal, which was due to expire this summer. Malky Mackay’s side are coming off the back of a humbling 4-0 loss to Celtic when they were 3-0 down inside 26 minutes, though they had been on a three-game winning run in the top flight prior to that encounter.
Previous meeting
Hearts won 2-1 at Tynecastle on Boxing Day in the only game this season the Jambos have played in front of zero spectators in the league after the Scottish Government imposed a fresh set of restrictions amid a rise in cases of Covid-19 in the lead up to Christmas. Smith and Ben Woodburn scored for the hosts before Jordan White ensured a nervy finish.
What Robbie Neilson said
“We will take a couple of thousand fans up there, it will be a good atmosphere so I don’t think it will be an issue. The players know it’s always about the next game.
“We went up there earlier in the season and actually played really well. We went away with a 2-2 draw. County are obviously fighting for the top six now. From our perspective, we want to take momentum into the derby with Hibs next week. We had a number of good results during March, now we’re going into April and we want to start well.”
