Hearts have sold winger Jake Mulraney to the American club Atlanta United in a deal worth a six-figure sum. The transfer was completed today as the MLS side reinforced their squad for the season ahead.

Mulraney will join Atlanta next month, having been deemed surplus to requirements by the Hearts manager Daniel Stendel. He is the third player to leave since the German took charge last month and follows fellow Irishman Glenn Whelan and forward Craig Wighton through the exit door.

Mulraney joined Hearts from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in May 2018 and signed an extended contract until 2022 last summer. He made 22 appearances this season and featured three times under Stendel.

Atlanta's offer was accepted by Hearts earlier this month and Mulraney has now completed paperwork to continue his career Stateside - where he will play under United's manager and former Rangers defender Frank de Boer.
