Krystian Nowak will leave Hearts for Greek Superleague club Panionios provided he passes a medical.
The Polish defender is in Athens hoping to finalise the move after being told he is free to leave Tynecastle.
He arrived in Edinburgh on a two-year contract in 2016 but has been unhappy this season due to a lack of game time.
Nowak was told Hearts would not stand in his way if he found a new club and Panionios hope to complete his signing over the weekend.
The player arrived in Greece to undergo a medical and there are not expected to be any late hitches. Clubs in Poland and Scotland had been interested in him but the move to Greece is likely to go through.
