A big save to deny Devante Cole and prevent Motherwell going two ahead in the first half. But his kicking was a hindrance to the teams play and made it easy for Hylton to score after a mix up with Clare.
Struggled to get to grips with Sherwin Seedorf. Not in terms of being beaten but unsure of where to position himself which led to disorganisation. Lacked quality going forward.

Grew noticeably more frustrated as the game went on. Fans appreciated his desire and willingness to step out of defence and try to create.
Defensively better in his duels with Devante Cole. His use of the ball still left a lot to be desired. Apologised at one point for playing it to Doyle when he had loads of time.
Dominated James Scott in the air and on the deck. Scott has been impressive for the Steelmen but barely got a sniff from the teenager.

A typical performance by the striker. Battled manfully but largely erratic. Gave the ball away in build up for second goal but did great work down the left to create Hearts best first half chance and scored.
A nice touch to set up Clare for a chance but didnt hold and link onto possession as Levein would have hoped. A weak pass wide to Brandon in a promising area summed up his performance.
Had a positive impact with a positive run and pass for the goal.
His turn and shot which led to the first Hearts goal and netted the second.
Worked his socks off as usual but wasnt rewarded with a goal. Forced the Motherwell goalkeeper into two save before pulling his hamstring.
