Injuries may have derailed Dale Carrick's career at Hearts, but the former Tynecastle striker is still going in the SPFL with League One Airdrieonians and he had a special part to play in their latest win.
Managed by ex-Hibs captain Ian Murray, the Diamonds have won five games on the bounce and now occupy top spot in the third tier.

Hide AdSaturday's trip to Stranraer saw them come away with a 2-0 victory, a result which Carrick wrapped up in stunning style.
Running on to a cross from the left wing, the 25-year-old raced to the front post, where he flicked a first-time, back-heeled finish that connected with the underside of the crossbar and bounced over the line.
The SPFL official Twitter account called it a "goal of the season contender".
It was the seventh strike of the campaign for the attacker who normally occupies a spot on the wing for Murray's men.
