'Lifeless, dull and insipid' - Hearts fans can't wait for season to end as apathy takes hold

The league leaders blew the chance to win the Championship title on Friday night at home to Alloa Athletic.

On reflection, it could be argued Hearts were somewhat lucky to have gained a point with the hosts creating numerous chances.

@maroonspecs: “Dunfermline Athletic have shipped eight goals in the league this past week so of course they were going to keep a clean sheet against Robbie Neilson's Heart of Midlothian. Anyone who expected any different hasn't been paying close enough attention. Worth noting that this "response" that was being talked up in the papers after Brora by this group of gutless mercenaries has yet to materialise. After two games. In the second tier. With no fans present. Case closed.”

@AaronFraser37: “Genuinely never felt so disconnected from Hearts in my life. Not even angry anymore, just complete apathy. Cant wait until the league’s wrapped up and I never have to think about this season again. As I said on stream, I’m Hearts-daft. Every waking moment is spent thinking about the next game, I invest so much time and energy into that football club and it’s got to the point where I’m thinking why do I bother? Would probably have more fun smashing my face off a wall.”

@Amoruso1998: “An indication that an echo chamber is in full swing. If Robbie thinks there would have been 3,500 hearts fans there today then he doesn’t know the levels of apathy we currently have. When there is budget gap as big as ours then we shouldn’t need to rely on competent refereeing.”
