The summer transfer window has only been open for a few days but already there have been plenty of moves happening not just in Scottish football but across the UK.
With many clubs having announced their retained lists as early as last month and clubs in Scotland also having to prepare for the Scottish League Cup group stages in July it isn’t surprising that many have acted fast to start getting new recruits in. Among those signings are several former Hearts and Hibs players.
Here are nine players who turned out for either Hearts or Hibs that have already agreed transfer moves in the 2024 summer window:

5. Callum Booth
It is almost ten years since Booth left Easter Road and he has turned out for the likes of Raith Rovers, Partick Thistle and Dundee United since. He is currently signed for St Johnstone but will spend the upcoming season back in the capital on loan at The Spartans | SNS Group

6. Steven Bradley
Bradley only managed a few appearances for Hibs and was with Livingston since 2022 but will be a Hamilton Accies player this season | SNS Group

7. Efe Ambrose
Since leaving Hibs the former Celtic defender has played for Livingston and St Johnstone to name just a few and will turn out for Bury FC this season after leaving Queen of the South | SNS Group

8. Michael McKenna
The former Hibs youth player leaves Arbroath after making almost 200 appearances and has already been snapped up by Falkirk for the upcoming season | SNS Group
