BBC Scotland has confirmed the on-air date and details for the behind the scenes documentary which details the turbulent times at Tynecastle last season where the Jambos were relegated and then fought their demotion to the SPFL Championship, all after changing manager mid-way through the campaign.

Episode one of ‘This is Our Story: Inside Hearts’ is just two weeks away and the debut show details the early stages of the campaign, with results going badly and pressure building on manager and director of football, Craig Levein.

The programme will chronicle Levein’s departure as manager and Ann Budge’s hunt for his successor, with Austin MacPhee in interim charge of first-team affairs for a trip to Hampden.

The series will also turn attention to the contrasting fortunes of the women’s team, closing in on promotion with coach, Kevin Murphy.

Club Ambassador, Gary Locke, groundstaff Grant and Colin and many other areas off-the-field are also in focus with the media and marketing staff working hard to deal with mounting press speculation on the future team boss and the corporate and catering teams trying to bring more money into the club.

By December Ann Budge finally has a new manager in place. Daniel Stendel arrives from Germany with a new style of play, raising the hopes of fans and staff alike who are eager to see some goals at Tynecastle.

There’s also an insight into the The Foundation of Hearts which is focused on a pioneering way ahead for Edinburgh’s oldest football club and changing the ownership. Members contributions aim to see ownership of the club transfer from Ann Budge to the group of fans near the end of the season, with more to come in future episodes.

This is Our Story: Inside Hearts is a Two Rivers Media production for BBC Scotland and begins on November 9, at 9pm, on BBC One Scotland.
