McLean handed Hearts tie

Steven McLean will take charge of his second Hearts-Rangers meeting in six weeks when he oversees the Scottish Cup quarter-final clash between the two teams at Tynecastle on Saturday evening.

The 38-year-old official, who has taken charge of 25 matches in all competitions this season - but only one involving the Jambos - returns to the Capital where Hearts will be hoping for a similar performance and result to the league match.

McLean, who has dished out 71 yellow cards and one red and awarded eight penalties so far this season, will be backed up by assistant referees Dougie Potter and Graeme Leslie, with Willie Collum on fourth-official duties.

Walsh to oversee Hibs clash

Across the Capital nearly 24 hours earlier, Nick Walsh will handle Hibs' meeting with Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Easter Road.

The 29-year-old has taken charge of 26 matches across all competitions including UEFA European Championship qualifiers at Under-17 and Under-21 level and was the man in charge for the tempestuous clash between Hibs and Rangers - his only match involving Jack Ross' side this term.

Walsh has flashed 100 yellow cards in his 26 matches, sent off five players and pointed to the spot on nine occasions.

He will be supported by assistant referees Sean Carr and Graham Chambers while John Beaton has been named as the fourth official.
