Hearts are looking to sign Liam Lindsay on loan during the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
The Scottish centre-back moved to Stoke City in the summer in a move reportedly worth around £2.5 million.

The 24-year-old has made 17 appearances in all competitions for the Potters since signing from Barnsley.
It was at Oakwell where Lindsay thrived under new Hearts manager Daniel Stendel as the pair helped the Yorkshire club win promotion to the English Championship.
Austin MacPhee has already watched the player in action, having taken in Stoke's 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough last Friday.
