The Tynecastle side dropped points for the third game running with their third 1-1 draw, Liam Boyce grabbing an equaliser at Inverness CT having fallen behind early on to a Miles Storey strike.

Gordon labelled the result “disappointing”.

“We didn't start the game particularly well, got ourselves behind and we were always chasing it to get back into it and try to win it,” he told the BBC. “We’ll take the point but we really came here looking for three.

“We weren’t winning many first and second balls. We got bogged down, trapped in our half a lot but couldn’t really get out. Our passing wasn’t as good as it can be and that led to the opening goal and probably deservedly so at that stage.

“Doesn’t matter what players we have, that is the results. So whatever anyone says about ‘it’s a good group of players, shouldn’t be doing this’, this is a group of players and we’ve got to get the results. I’m kind of sick of hearing that to be honest.

"We've got to get this league won, no matter how we do it. If we have to come here and scrape draws and get there in the end then that’s what we have to do.

"But we want to play better, to dominate games and be a force, win this league comfortably.

"We have to improve to do that.”
