The left-footed centre-back has vast experience at that level with more than 100 appearances for Killie.
However, he will opt for MLS where he will compete with Union defenders Jakob Glesnes and Jack Elliott for a place in the team’s starting XI, report The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The MLS primary transfer window opened last week which will see Union secure Findlay before his contract runs out ahead of the start of the new season in April.
Meanwhile, Hearts received a defensive boost with John Souttar returning to first-team training.
