1. Goalkeeper - Antti Niemi
The Finnish born stopper featured close to 100 times for the Jambos before departing for the Premier League with Southampton. The fact he fought off competition from the likes of Jim Cruickshank and Craig Gordon shows you exactly why he was held in such high esteem. Picture: SNS Photo: SNS
2. Right back - Alan McClaren
Edinburgh born and bred, McClaren made 180 appearances for Hearts and won 24 caps for his country. The club made £2 million pound when he moved to Rangers. Photo: Jeff Mitchell
3. Centre back - Craig Levein
Manager. Director of Football. Advisor. However, the former Jambos is most loved by Hearts fans for his time as a defender. Appearing for Hearts between the years of 1983 till 1995, he won Scottish Young Player of the Year two years on the trot, receiving the accolade in 1985 and 1986. One of the best. Photo: Contributed
