The winger was injured in the 1-0 win over Arbroath in the league last Friday and was replaced by Craig Wighton in the first 10 minutes.

Wighton starts with Jordan Roberts also coming in.

It means Neilson could play 4-4-2 against Hibs but admitted Ginnelly is going to be a miss.

“It’s a disappointment that Josh is out”, he told the BBC. “He came out of the Arbroath game and we were hoping to get him in this game.

“But we tried him on Thursday and he wasn’t right.

“Wighton will come in and he did really well against Arbroath and scored the winning goal and I’m sure he’ll do really well for us tonight.”

Meanwhile, ex-Hearts and Hibs midfielder Michael Stewart believes there is little difference between the two squads.
