Hearts supporters are not exactly big fans of the current team at present. There were already serious reservations about the quality in the squad prior to Tuesday’s embarrassing 2-1 loss to Brora Rangers – a result that could legitimately be described as one of the worst in the club’s history.
There have been numerous clear-outs of the first-team throughout the last few years and it’s rarely ended well for the Gorgie Road side. That being said, the thought of making wholesale changes is currently more appealing to the majority than attempting to tackle next season’s Scottish Premiership with the status quo.
For reinforcements to arrive a number of players will need to depart, for both finances and to create space in the squad.
