Where are they now? The title-winning team the last time Hearts faced Queen of the South
Unfortunately for the home side and their supporters, the Championship encounter is unlikely to live up to the joyous occasion which preceded.
Robbie Neilson’s men had been crowned champions the week prior when closest-challengers Hibs lost 2-0 at home to Rangers, handing them the crown with a whopping seven games to spare.
The first of those came against James Fowler’s side with Gorgie in a celebratory mood. The champions were granted a guard of honour as they took to the field and almost immediately asserted their dominance with Osman Sow scoring within six minutes.
They were made to work for the victory, but it was wrapped up with Alim Ozturk netting a free-kick midway through the second period.
We look back at the players involved on that day and what they’re up to now.
