The broadcaster has agreed a deal to show the match from St Gallen’s Kybunpark on its BBC Scotland channel and iPlayer. Kick-off is at 6pm UK time, which is 7pm local time in Switzerland.

The Swiss champions progressed to meet Hearts after dispensing with Northern Irish side Linfield on a 5-0 aggregate. They won 2-0 in Belfast before a 3-0 victory in Zurich on Thursday evening, with former Tynecastle winger Donis Avdijaj scoring twice in that return leg.

Zurich have been forced to switch the tie with Hearts to St Gallen because their own Stadion Letzigrund is booked to stage a concert next weekend and is therefore out of commission. BBC took advantage to get a live feed in order to help Tynecastle fans who will not make the trip to Switzerland.

Victory for Hearts in the play-off would secure a spot in the Europa League group phase, however they will parachute into the Europa Conference League if they lose.

The Edinburgh club are preparing for their first foray into continental competition since 2016 after finishing third in last year’s Premiership and reaching the Scottish Cup final.
