Hibs and Hearts begin women's campaign with victories in League Cup

Chris Roberts’ Hibs are the current holders having defeated Glasgow City 2-1 in June’s final and made their first steps to retaining the trophy with a 6-0 thrashing of lower league opponents East Fife at King George V Park in Leven.
Midfielder Lisa Robertson scored a brace with Abi Harrison, Rachael McLaughlan and Chelsea Cornet also on target. The other goal was courtesy of an East Fife defender following an Amy Gallacher cross.
