Hibs have no fears about playing Conrad Logan
The 29-year-old former Leicester City goalkeeper last week joined the Easter Road club on a short-term deal to provide cover until the end of the season.
With established No.1 Mark Oxley suspended for next weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Dundee United, Finnish youngster Otso Virtanen or Logan will deputise.

Hide AdLogan hasn’t played a first-team match since turning out for Rochdale 16 months ago, but Hibs first-team coach John Doolan insists he would have no concerns about fielding the vocal Irishman.
“First impressions of him are that he’s decent – he’ll do a job for us,” he said. “If required, he’d definitely be ready to play straight away. We watched him play for the 20s on Monday and he did really well. He had a young side in front of him but he spoke right through the 90 minutes, organising and giving confidence to the back four.”
Doolan had intimated that Hibs would be inclined to give their semi-final goalkeeper of choice a run-out either at Alloa today or at home to Falkirk on Tuesday, with Virtanen, who has kept his place on the subs’ bench in the two games since Logan arrived, remaining favourite to take the gloves next weekend.
The first-team coach explained that even if Logan doesn’t get much top-team action for Hibs, he will still have a role to play in helping a relatively young dressing-room deal with an intense run-in to the season. “Conrad’s a good lad with loads of experience,” said Doolan. “One or two of the boys already knew him. He’s really good to have around the place. Even if he doesn’t play much for us, he’ll still play a part in helping the dressing-room.”
