Hide AdStanton, wary of stagnating on the fringes at Hibs, has fixed himself up with a move to fellow Championship side Dumbarton, with his parent club having the option of recalling him in January if they wish.
Fraser Fyvie, Dylan McGeouch, Marvin Bartley, Andrew Shinnie, John McGinn and Scott Martin are all currently ahead of the academy graduate in the pecking order for a central-midfield berth under Neil Lennon.
Stanton, who is contracted to the Easter Road club until summer 2018, hasn’t featured at all for Hibs this season. His last competitive appearance for the first team was 11 months ago, before he was loaned out to Livingston for the second half of last season.
