The “Born a Hibee” campaign – with prices again frozen for the 2017/18 season – has resulted in sales running at more than twice the rate of this time last year and ahead of the Easter Road club’s own initial predictions.

The number of season ticket holders has grown by 46 per cent in the past year, reaching 11,300 by Christmas, but now Hibs are on target to beat the all-time record 11,500 mark, with supporters having until April 7 to take advantage of both the discounted “early bird” scheme and an 11-month interest free payment plan.

Greig Mailer, head of marketing and commercial operations, said: “We are really encouraged by the response from supporters to our “Born a Hibee” campaign.

“What’s been really pleasing is that we are also seeing fans returning and some first time season ticket holders signing up for next season.”
